From today’s Taipei Times, “The century-old French bakery chain Paul opened its Taiwan flagship store at a spot on Renai Circle in Taipei on Saturday…”
Hurray, it’s about time. Shanghai has had a bunch for a year now and Japan has had them for what feels like forever.
“In the next five years, the company plans to open up to 20 outlets at department stores and shopping malls.”
Nice! Finally some good news from Taiwan (ha).
“The breads are pre-baked in France and frozen immediately for shipment to Taiwan, where they are defrosted and baked at the store.”
Hopefully it’ll taste better than the stuff at Maison Kaiser (which also needs to open more locations, because it’s just too hard to go to Breeze Centre on a regular basis).
